You can get eggs Benedict in Burlington at Sunnyside Grill, 450 Appleby Line, Unit 11. We make six different bennies, every day from 7am to 3pm, and since breakfast runs all day, a benny at 2 in the afternoon is completely normal here. Every one comes with country griddled potatoes.

The six bennies on our Burlington menu

All six start the same way: an English muffin, poached eggs and hollandaise. What goes underneath is where they split up.

Poached Hollandaise. Hollandaise over peameal bacon. This is our take on the classic, and it's the one to order if you've never had a benny with us. We wrote a whole post about why peameal is the most Ontario breakfast meat there is, and we stand by it.

Poached California. Bacon and avocado under the hollandaise. This is a Sunnyside favourite, and it gets a shout out in the Google reviews on our Burlington page. Bacon plus avocado plus hollandaise is a lot of good things on one muffin.

Poached Florentine. Spinach in place of the meat. If you don't eat meat, or you just want something a bit lighter before the rest of your day, start here.

Salmon Hollandaise. Smoked salmon and spinach. A little fancier, still very much a Tuesday morning kind of plate.

Steak Hollandaise. New York strip steak with sautéed bacon, mushroom and onion. You will not be hungry at lunch. You may not be hungry at dinner.

Crab Cake Hollandaise. Crab cakes and avocado. Another Sunnyside favourite, and the one to try if you like your brunch to feel a bit like a weekend away.

How to pick your eggs Benedict in Burlington

First visit? Go with the Poached Hollandaise. It tells you what our hollandaise and eggs are like without anything getting in the way.

Coming in after a long week and want to be looked after? Steak. No debate.

Splitting with someone? Order the California and the Crab Cake and trade halves. Both have avocado, so nobody feels shortchanged, and you get to try two of our favourites in one sitting.

Now that November has turned the mornings on Appleby Line properly cold, a hot benny with a side of potatoes and a refill of coffee is a pretty good reason to get out of the house.

Can you change things up?

Yes, within reason. Every benny can be made with egg whites, and you can swap in gluten free bread. Hollandaise is also on our add on list, so if you'd like some on something else, just ask your server.

Where to sit when you come in

Our Burlington store has a retro breakfast bar, which is the best seat in the house if you're on your own or grabbing a quick plate before work. There are plenty of tables too, so bring the family.
